Brisbane School Mural Artist

LORDS (Lutheran Ormeau River Districts School)

Brisbane school mural artist team streetartstudios.com.au was contacted by the Pimpama based school with hopes of having their manual arts building painted in a street art style. A meeting onsite was arranged to discuss budgets, size and timeframe. We wanted to create a mural that would reflect the neighbouring pockets of bushland.

We quoted the school with a provided timeframe of 10-14 days for installation, including 30 hours dedicated to conceptual design.

Within four days we supplied a design which met their expectations. The team set about preparing a corrugated sheet metal surface for the mural installation. First we applied two coats of sealer/primer/stain-blocker undercoat to give the artwork an excellent base for installation. Using only quality professional artistic spray paints and Dulux paints ensures a professional finish. In addition, we also applied a clearcoat sealer to defend against the sun’s harmful UV rays and fading. This results in an additional seven to ten years of UV protection.

This mural package took ten days to transform a blank shed wall into artwork, inclusive of conceptual designs, consultation, travel and man hours for installation, resulting in transformation of an old, bland, and unattractive area. This is now a vibrant and beautiful representation of the school’s core beliefs and values. If your school is looking for a unique and eye-catching artistic installation get in touch with the Brisbane school mural artist at Street Art Studios. Our art is fully insured for your added piece of mind, and we are always prompt, courteous, and professional.

We also provide:

  • Collaborative works,
  • Design workshops,
  • Safe spray painting workshops and
  • Collaborative school murals.
  • Vandalism removal and deterrent

Street Art Workshops

Canterbury Primary School Prep Aged Workshops and Mural

When the art department from Canterbury State Primary School contacted Sheeps from Street Art Studios they were looking to update some of their school murals. They wanted to begin Street Art Workshops for students from Prep and Grades one to three. Though the school was unsure whether they could be run safely for younger students, Sheeps was able to take the knowledge he has gained over the past five years of mural installation and workshop facilitation and put together a feasible and affordable plan to help this school and its students rejuvenate the school’s dated artwork, involving students in a fun, creative, and educational experience.

With a quick introduction to the students, teaching staff and faculty, Sheeps set about taking the Students drawings they presented to him, and to create a quick design that was an embodiment of all the best ideas from their imaginations. He then showed and explained Spray paint and the proper and safe ways to use the Low Odour, Low VOC, water based Spray Paints which were developed and sized for use by children.

Canterbury Primary School Prep Aged Workshops and Mural

With their smocks, wide smiles and eagerness to paint, the kids all took their turns to add colour to the sandpit mural and created one of the funnest and age appropriate murals to date. The kids were thrilled when they had the opportunity to show off their handiwork to their parents, as were their parents at seeing what their children could accomplish when showed the correct way to enjoy spray paint in a safe, controlled environment.

If your School could do with an update, or would like to provide your school with some fantastic artwork that the kids can have ownership and pride in producing, then get in touch with the Street Art Studios team. Let us facilitate your Street Art Workshops for parties, team building and more.

Mural Art for the Home

Street Art Studios Home Decoration

Geoff & Sarah’s fence before.

When Geoff and Sarah were completing the upgrades and landscaping of their newly built home, they realised they had an issue with the boundary fence making them feel too boxed in. It was the opposite of what they were looking to achieve.  So the couple decided to explore the idea of Mural Art for the Home

Wanting to bring some life to their fence, they contacted Sheeps to discuss their options.

Sheeps walked the young family through the process and discussed everything from design, installation, materials, man-hours and the associated costs, with an obligation-free quote. This time spent, getting an understanding of how they wanted to change this boundary fence into something that was more their style, is what separates Sheeps and Street Art Studios from its competitors.

Sheeps put together an agreeable, detailed and itemised quote that kept within their ideal budget. We only use quality products like Dulux and MTN 94 professional artists aerosols

“Being able to take the ideas of clients and create them, often better than they could imagine, is your true gift, Sheeps. Thank you so much! We love it!” Sarah Bell

SCHOOL MURAL ARTIST

GAYNDAH STATE PRIMARY SCHOOL

Approximately four hours north-west of Brisbane, in the heart of citrus country, lies the beautiful country town of Gayndah. The School Mural Artist at Street Art Studios was lucky enough to visit the town, after being contacted by the Acting Principal of the local primary school, Mr. Andrew Goldie, wondering if we could provide the pupils and school community with a street art mural and some workshops with students in design and installation.

Street Art Studios (blue card holders) knew exactly how to make a lasting positive impact, by teaching the kids about proper use of spray paint, and to contribute a mural that would remain for years to come.

“That’s Fantastic!” Andrew Goldie, Acting Principal, Gayndah State School.

The kids worked great together and were all astonished by their own contribution to the final result. Their delight and pride in what was produced was exactly why Street Art Studios was keen to help. The artwork is equally as impressive as the kids’ exemplary behaviour throughout the installation and stands as a testament to a community that takes pride in itself. The students are lucky to have a principal in touch with the youth of today, who knew exactly how to give them a proper hands on experience in street art and graffiti art.

If your school could use some colour to deter vandals, or a project to bring the school community together to achieve amazing things as a group, then don’t delay and get in touch with the team today. Our School Mural Artist is fully insured and we only use the highest of quality materials such as Dulux, MTN and One Take paints. Our artists have over 20 years painting experience to make sure that our productions will last the test of time.

CORPORATE MURAL ART

SAFETY INITIATIVE MURAL

Street Art Studios were contacted by Powerlink Queensland’s, who were curious to find out what could be done to add some colour to their large offices, while also promoting the importance of Safe work practices.

As per Street Art Studios’ standard practice, a meeting was held at their HQ to discuss the best plan of attack.

Potential walls and areas for the mural were shown, ideas were bounced around and budgets were discussed. After getting a better idea of the work involved, the client’s were happy to award the project to Sheeps, from Street Art Studios.

Safety Mural Design

The artworks purpose and placement was to further drive the companies safety initiatives and needed to fit in with the current health & safety and corporate colour schemes. Once all the required information and key points were itemised, and colour schemes and branded guidelines noted, the designs were created by the Street Art Studios team and submitted.

Safety Initiative Mural Wall

As soon as the design was approved by the relevant governance and hierarchy, Sheeps set about the task of adding a colourful representation of Powerlink’s safety initiative into their workspace.

BARBER SHOP MURAL ART

PADDINGTON BARBER CO. MURAL ART

When Sash from Paddington Barber Co. contacted Sheeps with an idea in his head, he wanted to know if there was a way to get the ideas from his head and painted onto the walls of his newly opened Barber Shop. With the idea being slightly odd, Sheeps was intrigued.

A meeting was held instore, to allow Sheeps an opportunity to view the stores layout and work out the best way to install. As with all start up companies, the budget was small, so they bartered an alternative arrangement where Sheeps would get free haircuts in lieu of payment of the full price.

With everything agreed upon, Sheeps began designing the Octopus Barber. After a few tweaks and a redesign, Sash and Sheeps chose a suitable week to get the artwork installed.

Stretching wall to wall, up and over an alcove, and back onto the ceiling, this eight-legged legend of the lochs now happily changes the hairstyles of many the gentleman who frequents this great barber shop.

“Dude!? I literally do not know how you got it, but that’s so very close to the image I had in my head, it’s crazy! Thank you again for an awesome job and for helping make my place, more my place!”. Sash – Paddington Barber Co. owner

If you want a great haircut, drop into Paddington Barber Co. and let Sash work his magic on your mop. If you want great mural artwork, just get in touch with the team at Street Art Studios today

SCHOOL MURAL ART

Burwood East Primary School

Burwood East Primary School

When Principal Darren McDonald, from Burwood East Primary School in Melbourne, contacted the Street Art Studios team, the school was going through some building upgrade works. They were interested in changing the look and feel of the school, but mostly wanted to revamp a couple of tired, old demountable buildings.

Before
Before

The decision was to create artworks inspired by each building’s specific subject – Science and Performing Arts. The students’ own drawings of what these subjects mean to them were to be incorporated, so it meant that the artwork remained as much their creation as it was Sheeps’, the artist.

After
After

Within a two week period we were able to transform the tired looking demountable buildings into vibrant and inviting classrooms, certain to inspire the students within.

Burwood East Primary

“Very impressive work, Sheeps. The students are going to be gobsmacked! Thank you again for visiting our school and for making these 2 buildings stand out. It will help to keep the pupils interested in these 2 subjects. I am also very impressed that you were able to incorporate their designs into your artwork”. Darren McDonald

CORPORATE MURAL ART

Uber Australia’s Brisbane Landmark Mural

When collecting a lost phone from the Uber Rideshare offices in Brisbane, Sheeps was underwhelmed by their office fit-out.
He noticed it was bland, lifeless and dull, and a complete contrast to the dynamic and exciting new transportation and employment opportunities that this fresh thinking company had to offer.

uber Brisbane

Never afraid to let his feelings be known, he left behind his contact details and Uber soon got in touch to discuss how they could work together to install artwork that would be appealing to the young staff, support staff, trainers and new drivers.

uber Brisbane 2

With just a basic location map acting as the main inspiration, it took several designs, redesigns, design submittals, approvals, and alterations to the Scope of Works and Design Brief, before the mural design was completed.

As the business still needed to operate as normal, the Brisbane Iconic Images mural, was installed out of hours over two weekends.
