Installation

During construction works to the Bankwest Stadium in Parramatta, Sydney. The Eels Rugby League Football Club decided on upgrading the Members’ clubhouse including Sydney Street Art. Major upgrades including a brand new 7 lane ten pin bowling alley and Arcade arena aimed to bring new business and likewise, a younger generation of fans.

Interior design by Design Code Interiors and Street Art Studios selected for this Sydney Street Art installation. The Construction was contracted to Adco Constructions Pty Ltd. The work could only begin after the artists provided all necessary job specific documents as listed below.

After the team had been site inducted, they began working on the 120m2 ceiling art. Working to the Interior Design plan, the team had to adapt to make the plan a reality. Finding ways to paint in, around and under obstacles like pipes, aircon vents and Fire tubes became second nature.

To clarify our team only use quality materials from MTN Australia, and Dulux. As a result these products provide the highest quality finishes and are always highly recommended. As a result, project completion took 14 days for the team to paint Kick’s Arcade arena’s ceiling.

Kicks tenpin opened with a successful July 2018 launch. Certainly providing their members an exciting draw card to their new upgraded Leagues Club.

Commission Graffiti Artist

Beefeater Gin 24 POP UP

When famous British ginmaker Beefeater was relaunching their 24 range, they thought to celebrate their Australian activation in Sydney. The “Real London” and their event planners sought to find graffiti artist who could help. Their public relations company SJWPR decided to commission the graffiti artist Sheeps from Street Art Studios after contacting him for a discussion about their upcoming project.

Sheeps went to work on the most important step for any project, the design phase. With the designs approved by their venue Pelicano, SJWPR, and Beefeater in Great Britain, the next step was to create the artwork for the “Real London” theme. Iconic images like black London taxis, London Bridge, the Underground, double decker busses and the Queen’s famous Beefeater guards. The almost finished artworks were transported directly to the venue for installation.

Being an experienced street artist, Sheeps knew that he would have to oversee the installation of the commissioned artworks. The additional cost for flights was quickly proven to be money well spent as it gave the artist the time to work closely with the installation crew and venue. Sheeps was also able to make any minor adjustments the finished artwork may have needed. Pelicano’s wanted a Beefeater painted on glass doors to welcome the guests. Sheeps painted their request without special paints, varnishes, or damaging the door or surrounding surface.
